APPLICATION FORM SECONDARY TEACHER position description educational creedMaranatha Christian School is seeking passionate individuals to join our team as CITE Trainee Teachers in 2027.
Trainee Teachers are employed in the classroom for two days per week throughout the duration of their course, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a supportive school environment. In addition to classroom teaching, trainees will participate in teaching rounds and tailored professional development activities coordinated by the CITE Alliance.
Applications are invited from individuals who are currently enrolled in or planning to enrol in: a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Master of Teaching (M.Teach) course at Eastern College Australia (ECA) or Christian Heritage College (CHC).
The goals of the Alliance are:
- To provide Christian schools with a supply of Biblically formed graduate teachers.
- To present pre-service teachers with a model of initial teacher education that is grounded in a Christian worldview.
- To ensure pre-service teachers are trained in best practice and ready to teach at the end of their studies.
- To contribute to the growth of teaching and learning capacity across the Christian education sector.

ABOUT THE POSITION
The Director of Sport will provide strategic leadership, coordination and oversight of the School’s co-curricular and extra-curricular sporting programs across the Primary and Secondary year levels.
Working closely with School leaders, Health and Physical Education staff, coaches and the wider community, the Director will play a key role in fostering a vibrant, Christ-centred sporting culture that promotes participation, excellence, teamwork and school pride.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for sport across the School.
- Coordinate co-curricular and extra-curricular sporting programs and competitions.
- Foster high levels of student participation, engagement and school spirit through sport.
- Lead the School’s involvement in CSEN and School Sport Victoria events and competitions.
- Develop and oversee sporting initiatives including the Soccer Academy and other participation-based programs.
- Promote student wellbeing, character development and community connection through sport.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in sports leadership, coaching, event management or program coordination, together with a passion for developing young people through sport.
They will possess:

- An understanding of school sporting competitions and pathways, including CSEN, School Sport Victoria or similar organisations.
