Yesterday, we had the pleasure of celebrating the Class of 2025 at their final Graduation Assembly, a very special moment marking the end of their schooling journey at Maranatha Christian School.
Surrounded by family, friends and other students, our graduates were honoured with certificates and shared performances as we the took time to reflect on their years at school. It was a wonderful occasion filled with gratitude, memories and hope for the future.
Our Principal, Mr Bill Jackson, delivered a powerful message titled “Start to Go.” His words encouraged students to step boldly into the next chapter of life, grounded in faith and purpose.
His message was built around five key themes:
- Steward – Your bags belong to the Master; don’t bury them.
- Treasure – You were made to worship; make sure God is on the throne.
- Absorb – We are changed by what we consume; don’t let your Bible gather dust.
- Risks – The workers are few; don’t play it safe with your faith.
- Trust – You are not enough; depend on God.
Mr Jackson reminded students that their talents are gifts meant to be used, not hidden. He encouraged them to go boldly into the world, knowing they are supported by lifelong mentors and a school community that will always be their home. Maranatha is a place they can return to with comfort and confidence, no matter where life takes them.
The assembly concluded with the traditional hat toss, followed by an afternoon tea with families, a perfect way to celebrate the end of an incredible chapter.
