All teachers are required to have registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT). TRAINEE TEACHER

Trainee Teacher (CITE Alliance)

Maranatha Christian School is seeking passionate individuals to join our team as CITE Trainee Teachers in 2026.

Trainee Teachers are employed in the classroom for two days per week throughout the duration of their course, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a supportive school environment. In addition to classroom teaching, trainees will participate in teaching rounds and tailored professional development activities coordinated by the CITE Alliance.

Applications are invited from individuals who are currently enrolled in or planning to enrol in: a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Master of Teaching (M.Teach) course at Eastern College Australia (ECA) or Christian Heritage College (CHC).

The goals of the Alliance are:

  • To provide Christian schools with a supply of Biblically formed graduate teachers.
  • To present pre-service teachers with a model of initial teacher education that is grounded in a Christian worldview.
  • To ensure pre-service teachers are trained in best practice and ready to teach at the end of their studies.
  • To contribute to the growth of teaching and learning capacity across the Christian education sector.

Head of Junior School Curriculum

ABOUT THE POSITION

Maranatha Christian School is looking for an experienced, innovative and professional educational leader.  The Head of Junior School Curriculum will be responsible for overseeing and improving the curriculum and learning experiences within the Junior School across both the Endeavour Hills and Officer Campuses.

The role will involve developing and implementing innovative educational programs, aligning curriculum with school-wide initiatives, and supporting staff professional development. The Head of Junior School Curriculum will assist the Head of Junior School (Endeavour Hills) in the daily operations and administration of the Junior School.

Responsibilities will include the development and oversight of the Junior School Curriculum to ensure the effective implementation of the Victorian Curriculum 2.0. They will ensure quality and alignment in teaching pedagogy across classes and campuses. The Head of Junior School Curriculum will be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive engagement standards and designing effective systems to track student academic progress within the Junior School.

The ideal candidate will also make a significant contribution to the senior leadership team and provide guidance and support for staff.

This is a full-time role available from the start of 2026.  It is an opportunity for an outstanding, experienced and passionate teacher with principal class aspirations, to further their career within a key area of the school and become an important part of the future of the school.

School Counsellor

ABOUT THE POSITION

We have an exciting opportunity for a School Counsellor to join the Wellbeing team at Endeavour Hills. This role provides evidence-based Christian counselling services to enhance the learning, development and wellbeing of our students from ELC to Year 12.

The School Counsellor will provide individual and group counselling to students and collaborate with teachers, parents and external agencies to support student wellbeing and academic success. The role will involve conducting risk and mental health assessments and develop strategies to meet counselling goals while ensuring compliance with mandatory reporting obligations under Victorian legislation. The School Counsellor will be tasked with developing and implementing student wellbeing programs and initiatives to promote resilience and positive relationships.

This is a part-time 0.4 FTE across three to five days per week, ongoing role, reporting to the School Psychologist. It is an opportunity to join an excellent team that invests into the wellbeing of the School community.

ABOUT THE PERSON

The successful candidate must hold a Post Graduate Qualifications in either Counselling, Psychology or Social work and registered with the appropriate governing or professional body. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the ethical frameworks and industry professional standards. Experience working in an educational setting and managing complex student needs will be highly regarded.
