All applicants for positions at Maranatha, both teaching and non-teaching roles, must be active Christians with current church involvement and be in agreement with and supportive of the School’s Christian ethos as expressed in its Educational Creed.  

All teachers are required to have registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT). Our administrative and operational staff are required to have a current Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC).​ Evidence of these registrations must be attached to our online application form for your resume to be considered.

TRAINEE TEACHER

Trainee Teacher (CITE Alliance)

Maranatha Christian School is seeking passionate individuals to join our team as CITE Trainee Teachers in 2026.

Trainee Teachers are employed in the classroom for two days per week throughout the duration of their course, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a supportive school environment. In addition to classroom teaching, trainees will participate in teaching rounds and tailored professional development activities coordinated by the CITE Alliance.

Applications are invited from individuals who are currently enrolled in or planning to enrol in: a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Master of Teaching (M.Teach) course at Eastern College Australia (ECA) or Christian Heritage College (CHC).

The goals of the Alliance are:

  • To provide Christian schools with a supply of Biblically formed graduate teachers.
  • To present pre-service teachers with a model of initial teacher education that is grounded in a Christian worldview.
  • To ensure pre-service teachers are trained in best practice and ready to teach at the end of their studies.
  • To contribute to the growth of teaching and learning capacity across the Christian education sector.

ABOUT THE POSITION

An opportunity has arisen for a Primary Music Teacher to join our staff on our Endeavour Hills and Officer Campus. The Teacher is responsible for the implementation of learning programs that reflects the mission of the School and is appropriate to the needs of the students. This position also has the possibility of a leadership role.

COMMENCING

Start of the Year, Term 1, 2026. 21st January 2026.

TIME FRACTION
