In the early hours of the morning, our dedicated staff alongside a couple of enthusiastic helpers from DS Sports, fired up the stove tops and began cooking up a storm. The smell of bacon and egg rolls quickly filled the air as we prepared to welcome over 400 dads and students for our annual Father’s Day Breakfast.
This year’s event was eggstra special. We were thrilled to be entertained by our very own father and son duo Mr David and Zeke Barnes. Their Father’s Day jokes and trivia kept everyone smiling and guessing.
We were encouraged by Maranatha Parent, Dave Edgar, who shared a brilliant message about God our Father, a Father who walks with those doing well, those struggling and everyone in between. The importance of reaching the next generation with the good news of the gospel was powerfully highlighted through the work Dave does in his role as Youth Alive Director, inspiring us all to invest in the lives of young people with hope and purpose.
Our sports hall was buzzing with food, laughter and conversation. A powerful reminder of the value of community and connection.
