Officer Campus Welcomes Seven Baby Chicks – A Lesson in God’s Creation

Seven newly hatched baby chicks under the care of Marshmallow, the resident hen, at Maranatha Christian School Officer Campus.

Over the past 21 days, our Officer students have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of new baby chickens. On Wednesday 3rd December the wait was over, we successfully hatched seven adorable chicks under the care of our resident hen, Marshmallow.

Each class has loved meeting the chicks and watching them through the window at lunchtime. Our dedicated chicken monitors have enjoyed taking on extra responsibilities and even had the chance to hold the chicks.

We’re excited to watch them grow and can’t wait to choose names for each one. It’s been a wonderful time of soaking up all the cuteness and marvelling at God’s amazing creation.

God made all sorts of wild animals, livestock, and small animals, each able to produce offspring of the same kind. And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:25
