Curriculum

At Maranatha Christian School, we are committed to providing a rich and engaging educational journey where every student is known, valued and encouraged to grow. Our thoughtfully designed curriculum supports each stage of learning, from Early Learning through to the Secondary years, recognising that every phase of a child’s development is equally important. We nurture resilient and independent learners, equipping students with the skills they need to think critically, communicate confidently, collaborate effectively and approach their learning with creativity and purpose.

With a student-centred approach, we seek to understand each child’s unique strengths, interests and potential, supporting their growth both academically and personally. Beyond the classroom, students enjoy a vibrant school life through a wide range of co-curricular opportunities, including sport, music and the arts, as well as experiences such as productions, concerts and competitions that inspire confidence and community connection. Grounded in a faith-based environment, our desire is that students leave Maranatha as well-rounded individuals who love learning, demonstrate strong character and are prepared to contribute meaningfully to their local and global communities.

Year 7 at Officer Q & As

Key transition events are designed to support a smooth and confident start to secondary school. The important dates for your child’s transition can be found on our Family Resources page under Important Dates.

Maranatha will offer Year 7 at the Officer and Endeavour Hills in 2027. One additional class will be added on each campus going forward. Year 7 is at capacity on both campuses for 2027. In 2028 Endeavour Hills is at capacity.

  • Year 8 will be offered at both campuses in 2028.
  • Year 9 will be offered at both campuses in 2029.
We will combine Senior School (Year 10 to 12) at Endeavour Hills Campus for the foreseeable future. This will ensure students largest possible subject choice options and alternative pathways during the VCE years.

Yes. The Officer Campus is purposefully designed to provide distinct spaces for Junior and Middle School students (Year 7 to 9).

Middle School students will have their own dedicated learning areas, recreation zones and specialist facilities, separate from the Junior School.

This separation allows us to tailor the environment to the developmental needs of each age group while still fostering a strong sense of whole-school community and safety.

Strong connections already exist between the two campuses, with students participating in joint events for several years.

We will continue to combine year levels for camps, excursions and significant activities.

Inter-campus sporting carnivals and other shared events will continue to foster a united school community.

A detailed Master Plan is in place which includes a dedicated Senior School Centre.

Future developments will also include an expanded Early Learning Centre, new specialist facilities and a further upgraded sports precinct.

Additional car parking and a second entry point at the rear of the property, with pedestrian access to the train station, are also planned.
