The Year 6 celebration was a memorable evening of celebration.
On Friday 5th December, we had the privilege of celebrating our Year 6 students as they concluded their Junior School journey at Maranatha Christian School.
The week leading up to this celebration was spent at camp, where students faced challenges together, built teamwork and learned to trust God in moments that stretched them beyond their comfort zones. These experiences reminded them of the strength found in faith and community.
The celebration evening was a wonderful occasion, with more than 200 family members gathering to mark this significant milestone. It was good to see students welcomed into Secondary School by Mrs Coleen Dutlow, Head of Secondary, their excitement for the next chapter shining brightly.
Leading these students through their final year of Junior School has been both a blessing and a privilege. We have taught them about God, nurtured their character and encouraged them to grow in faith.
The evening concluded with a blessing from Mrs Ellingworth and myself. We shared an inspiring message, likening each student’s future to a vast canvas waiting to be filled with colour. They were encouraged to paint boldly with courage, kindness, and curiosity. To embrace both successes and challenges as part of their unique masterpiece.
As they step into Secondary School, their story is expanding and they remain deeply loved and supported by our school community.
