Year 5 Oz Rocks Competition

Our Year 5 students have achieved outstanding results in the recent Oz Rocks competition, a national times tables challenge run by the Times Tables Rock Stars platform.

Competing against more than 61,500 students from 972 schools, Maranatha students demonstrated exceptional commitment, perseverance and mathematical fluency, with our Officer Campus achieving an impressive 5th place nationally and our Endeavour Hills Campus finishing 12th.

The competition challenged students to answer as many multiplication and division questions correctly as possible, with every correct answer contributing to their class and school results.

The statistics tell an incredible story. On average, Officer students correctly answered 2,151 questions each, while Endeavour Hills students averaged 1,685 correct answers each. Our highest-performing students achieved remarkable individual results, answering more than 4,500 questions correctly during the competition.

These results are a testament not only to our students’ growing confidence and competence in mathematics, but also to their determination, enthusiasm and willingness to embrace a challenge.
