Emergent 2025 – Bunjil Place Exhibition

Congratulations to Eliza Stewart, Year 12 student, on having her work featured in the Emergent 2025 Graduate Exhibition, recently held at Bunjil Place.

Emergent is an annual exhibition that celebrates the creative achievements of students in design, media and visual arts, providing young artists with the opportunity to present their work in a professional setting.
Eliza’s featured work, Carried by Courage, is a flip‑book animation machine that explores the inner struggles of anxiety, restless thoughts and emotional turmoil that often go unseen, represented through text. The magpie in flight symbolises the challenge of moving forward despite overwhelming pressures, reflecting the artist’s own experiences of inner conflict, deeply personal, yet widely relatable.
While the continuous motion of the animation reflects the ongoing nature of these struggles, the work ultimately conveys a message of hope. Through faith, the subject navigates life’s storms, propelled from within by a greater force.
Eliza’s inclusion in Emergent 2025 is an incredible recognition of her creativity, depth and artistic voice. Please join us as we congratulate Eliza on this significant achievement.
