ELC to Year 2 Soiree

Celebrating God’s Unbreakable Promises

Term 4 was an exciting time as we presented the ELC to Year 2 Soirée with the theme “God’s Unbreakable Promises.” This special event marked a milestone, it was the very first time our younger students had their own dedicated concert, separate from the Year 3 to 6 production.

Each of our Junior campuses, Endeavour Hills and Officer, celebrated on their own performance day, creating a fantastic atmosphere for families and friends. Every student from Prep to Year 2 took part in class presentations that showcased a wonderful variety of talents, including singing, dancing, playing instruments and importantly, reciting memory verses.

The heart of the evening was the reminder that God’s promises are unbreakable, He always keeps His Word. Throughout the performances, students shared some of these promises to encourage and inspire the audience. Families were invited to listen carefully and count how many promises they could hear during the program. Our prayer was that everyone left knowing we serve a powerful and faithful God who loves each one of us unconditionally.

This theme was not only central to the Soirée but also woven into classroom learning throughout the term. Students explored Bible stories that highlight God’s faithfulness, discussed what it means to trust His promises and reflected on how these truths apply to their daily lives. These lessons helped them bring authenticity and understanding to their performances, making the evening a true expression of faith and learning.

The students’ reflections say it all:

  • “I loved that we shared about God’s promises and love.”
  • “My favourite part was EVERYTHING!”
  • “It was so much fun performing!”
  • “I wish we can do the Soirée all over again!”
  • “I was so happy that my parents bought me an ice-cream after the Soirée!”

It was truly a memorable celebration of faith, creativity, and community. We look forward to many more opportunities to glorify God through the Arts.
