An invitation might seem like a small thing, a few words, a simple gesture, but it is a powerful thing.
To be invited is to feel accepted.
To be invited is to feel chosen.
To be invited is to know that you belong.
We see this so clearly in children. A quiet invitation to “come and sit with us” or “do you want to join our game?” can change the whole course of a day. Suddenly, a child feels seen. Valued. Safe.
At school, we speak often with our students about the invitations they will receive, and the invitations they will offer to others. We encourage them to think carefully about which invitations they accept, and to be courageous and kind in extending invitations that build others up. Invitations carry influence. They can shape direction, relationships, and even faith journeys.
At the heart of our Christian faith is the greatest invitation of all: God’s invitation to follow Him. This invitation is constant, gracious, and open to all. But like any invitation, it requires a response.
The Invitation of School and Home
As a Christian school, we see education as far more than academic instruction alone. Every day, your children are being invited into learning, character growth, friendships, responsibility, resilience, and faith. Teachers invite students to try, to persist, to ask questions, to reflect, and to grow.
But this work is never done in isolation. That is why we want to extend an invitation to you, as parents.
An invitation to partner with us. An invitation to trust the intentions, care and professionalism of our staff, who are committed to the wellbeing and growth of your children. An invitation to support what we are teaching and modelling at school, reinforcing it through conversations, encouragement, and shared expectations at home.
When school and home work together, children experience consistency, security and confidence. They learn that the adults in their lives are united, that they are surrounded by people who care and are working together for their good.
Walking Together
Partnership does not mean perfection.
It means communication. It means grace. It means asking questions, seeking understanding, and assuming the best of one another. It means trusting that we all share the same deep hope: that your children will flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
We are grateful for the trust you place in us each day when you send your children to school. We do not take that lightly.
So today, we extend this invitation openly and warmly:
