CSEN Chess Tournament

Celebrating a strong result for our chess team at CSEN

Our Chess team enjoyed a great day of competition at a recent CSEN tournament, achieving a 2nd place overall result. This performance has also seen five of our students qualify for the Victorian State Finals, to be held in October this year.
Throughout the day, our players demonstrated focus, perseverance and excellent sportsmanship, reflecting both their dedication to the game and the values we seek to instil through co‑curricular opportunities at Maranatha.

We are delighted to congratulate Austen Anderson, Aryan Verma, Daniel Li, Nicolas Wo, Shaun Visagie, David White, Lucas Vastea, Thisas Gamage, Jerry Yang, and Cody Fan, who earned the most points for their respective teams and were awarded medals for their efforts.

Well done to all students who represented the school so well and wish our state finalists every success as they prepare for the next stage of competition.
