Last week, Maranatha celebrated Chinese Culture Week across our school, learning about Chinese language, culture and traditions.
In Revelation 7:9, we are reminded that God’s family is beautifully diverse: people from every nation, tribe and language. Diversity is not just something God accepts; it is something He created and values.
As we explore another culture, we learn patience, humility and respect. It helps us understand others better and see how our differences strengthen our community. Chinese Culture Week is more than food or performances, it is an opportunity to appreciate one another and celebrate the many cultures that make our school family unique.
On Monday 16 February, our Junior School Leaders, accompanied by our Heads of Junior School, had the privilege of visiting Oxley Christian College to attend a Student Leadership Conference focused on Christian leadership and service.
Our Year 7s had an incredible time at camp, full of good times and building friendships. Students enjoyed activity rotations including the giant swing, candle making and flying fox. A wonderful start way to commence their journey into Secondary school.
Our Parent Connect Nights were held this week across both campuses, and it was good to see so many families actively partnering with the school from Prep through to Year 12. These evenings are a great opportunity to strengthen the partnership between home and school, recognising that when parents and teachers work together, students are best supported to grow academically, socially and spiritually.
Each year, our community gathers to formally commit Maranatha Christian School to God for the year ahead. On Wednesday 28 January, staff, parents and students came together for a special Dedication Service, setting aside time to pray and entrust 2026 to Him before the academic year begins.
This annual service is a time of unity, reminding us of God’s ongoing provision and strengthening our shared purpose as a Christian school. As we look ahead, we do so with thanksgiving and expectation for all that God will do in the year to come.
At the close of each year, Maranatha gathers for our Thanksgiving Services.
It is a special time to reflect on the year that has passed and to give praise and thanks to the Lord for His sovereign presence in our community. These services are cherished moments when students, parents, and staff come together to honour God and celebrate His faithfulness.
Celebrate our Year 6s milestone at Maranatha Christian School. From camp adventures to a wonderful celebration evening, faith and community shaped their journey to Secondary School.
