Maranatha Christian School is a Christian community in partnership with home and church where students are inspired to discover and develop their God-given gifts, abilities and character for a life of service to the Lord in contemporary society. At Maranatha, student leadership is not a reward but a responsibility. It is about lifting others up and relying on God’s strength, not our own perfection. Leadership done differently can transform our homes, schools, churches and communities.
On Grandparent’s Day at Maranatha Christian School, classrooms were filled with excitement as students shared their learning and stories with loved ones. Karen Drysdale, Head of Junior School, reflected on the day’s deeper meaning: storytelling builds connection, faith and character. From sharing family memories to exploring biblical parables like the Good Samaritan, stories teach compassion, strengthen relationships and nurture communication skills. At Maranatha, we celebrate storytelling as a powerful tool to shape hearts and minds for the future.
